Swedish electric performance brand Polestar has confirmed its Formula 2030 concept car as part of an overarching commercial growth strategy aimed at long-term profitability. Led by Head of Design Philipp Römers, the design study outlines the architectural and aesthetic direction for the upcoming Polestar 2 refresh—slated for 2027—and the future Polestar 7.
For automotive investors, retail partners, and EV industry analysts, the concept provides visibility into Polestar’s mid-term platform cadence and brand positioning.
“Polestar’s design and brand is already so strong, it was obvious we needed a bold evolution not revolution of what came before,” stated Philipp Römers, Head of Design at Polestar. “Formula 2030 delivers this, showcasing our future while respecting brand-defining elements like the familiar Dual Blade headlights.”
The vehicle is being previewed exclusively to investors and retail partners at Polestar’s headquarters in Gothenburg (The Cube), prior to its global public debut scheduled during the upcoming Polestar 4 press drive event.
