Cumulatively, TCI closed out the first six months of 2026 moving an all-time record of 129,674 vehicles across its retail networks, representing a 4.

Solidifying its market dominance in the multi-pathway alternative energy sector, Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) has released its official retail figures for June and the second quarter of 2026. Striking an unprecedented benchmark, hybrid, plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and battery-electric (BEV) platforms accounted for 68.6% of overall TCI quarterly volume, surging to a record 69.5% share within the standalone Toyota Division.

Cumulatively, TCI closed out the first six months of 2026 moving an all-time record of 129,674 vehicles across its retail networks, representing a 4.4% expansion year-over-year. The zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) segments experienced significant tailwinds, logging 13,759 aggregate units for Q2. Growth was sharply accelerated by the first full quarter of availability for the all-new entry-level 2026 Toyota C-HR BEV alongside the commercial release of the trail-ready bZ Woodland electric SUV (featuring a 3,500-lb towing matrix), pushing standalone battery-electric sales to a record quarterly peak of 4,967 units.

Regional Inventory Planning Anchored by Hybrid Demand

For Canadian dealer principals, fleet allocators, and variable operations directors managing localized turn rates, the statistical report outlines a clear vehicle allocation roadmap. Regional pipeline tracking indicates that electrified models are now the primary driver of store profitability across provinces. Notably, regional consumer data shows that Quebec continues to anchor the manufacturer’s zero-emission metrics, absorbing more than one-third of TCI’s nationwide battery-electric and plug-in hybrid retail volume year-to-date.

The operational growth trend lines triggered historic single-model volume spikes across multiple key nameplates. The Canadian-assembled RAV4 Hybrid and RAV4 PHEV, the redesigned Camry Hybrid, Sienna Hybrid, and newly deployed asset architectures like the Crown Signia, Grand Highlander, and 4Runner Hybrid all established either monthly or quarterly performance milestones.

Concurrently, the premium Lexus Division leveraged steady demand for its localized product footprint, seeing best-ever June and quarterly tracking parameters for the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid, the RZ BEV, and the flagship RX hybrid family, guaranteeing sustained assembly plant output in Ontario heading into the fall.
