CARSTAR Canada has announced a major regional consolidation as British Columbia-based multi-store operator (MSO) Raydar Collision Group expands into Alberta through the strategic acquisition of four established collision repair facilities: CARSTAR Calgary Bowness, CARSTAR McKnight, CARSTAR Lethbridge, and CARSTAR Medicine Hat. 

Led by Bill Davidson, the acquisition stretches Raydar’s operational footprint beyond its existing B.C. network, which spans from Surrey to Kelowna.

The business transition represents a changing of the guard for the Alberta collision repair infrastructure. The transaction includes the stores previously owned by Patricia and Rob Fahey, industry veterans who established Alberta’s very first CARSTAR franchise over two decades ago. 

Also changing hands are the Lethbridge and Medicine Hat locations developed by Bruce Hemstreet, one of CARSTAR’s earliest legacy corporate employees who worked alongside founder Larry Jeffries before transitioning into a prominent multi-store owner within the Badlands CARSTAR Group.

This corporate expansion highlights the ongoing consolidation trend within the Canadian automotive aftermarket, where regional MSOs continue to scale operational capacities across provincial borders.
