CARSTAR, North America’s largest network of independently owned and operated franchised collision repair facilities, is proud to announce the opening of CARSTAR Sarnia (High Tech), located at 412 Nelson St, Sarnia, ON N7T 5K2.
The new CARSTAR Sarnia (High Tech) builds on the long-standing reputation of High-Tech Collision, a trusted local business that has served the Sarnia community since 1992. With more than three decades of experience, the shop has earned a strong reputation for quality repairs, customer-focused service, and technical expertise.
The location is owned by Don Morton, President of Don-Mor Automotive Group and CARSTAR’s 2024 Franchisee of the Year, recognized at the annual conference for his innovation, commitment to customer service, operational excellence, and nearly 50 years of operation. Morton was honored for his leadership in driving business performance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the CARSTAR network. CARSTAR Sarnia (High Tech) marks an expansion of Morton’s existing presence within the brand.
Strategic step
“Expanding our footprint within the CARSTAR network was a strategic step for our business,” said Don Morton, Owner of CARSTAR Sarnia (High Tech). “Being part of CARSTAR has strengthened our operations and allowed us to continue raising the bar for quality and customer care. Bringing High Tech Collision into the CARSTAR family lets us build on an already strong foundation while positioning the business for long-term success.”
In addition to full-service collision repair, the facility will be equipped to provide automotive glass replacement, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) calibrations, wheel alignments, and light mechanical services. These capabilities allow CARSTAR Sarnia (High Tech) to deliver more repairs in-house while supporting modern vehicle technology and faster cycle times.
Working toward OEM collision repair certifications and I-CAR Gold Class
Following the CARSTAR launch, the team will be working toward OEM collision repair certifications and I-CAR Gold Class recognition as part of its long-term commitment to training, equipment investment, and repair quality. These initiatives reflect Don-Mor Automotive Group’s focus on continuous improvement and readiness for evolving vehicle technology.
CARSTAR Sarnia (High Tech) will be operated by the experienced Don-Mor Automotive Group leadership team, including General Manager Jeff Brown, Operations Manager Diane Sutherland, and Director of Finance, John Cabral. The team brings deep operational, financial, and technical expertise from across Don-Mor’s growing CARSTAR network, ensuring consistent processes and customer-first culture from day one.
