Midas of Bradford Donates Car to Family Starting Over
Autosphere » Mechanical »

Midas of Bradford made a huge difference for a local family starting over very recently. Emily O’Keefe, a domestic violence survivor and single mother of four, received a refurbished Nissan Altima on September 25, 2025 from the Bradford Midas Auto Service & Tires located at 121 Bridge Street in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
After escaping an abusive situation in 2024, Emily has been doing everything she can to keep life stable for her children, including driving them back and forth to their school out of district so they can hold on to the familiarity and routine they desperately need. Unfortunately, her car has become unreliable and the repair costs were far beyond her reach.
The gift of a reliable vehicle couldn’t come at a more critical moment for the family. With dependable transportation, Emily can get her children to school and activities without fear of being stranded, while also giving her the freedom to pursue work. For this family, a safe, working car is more than transportation; it’s the key to rebuilding their future.
Midas franchisees and their teams assist families across North America who have hit a bump in the road with the gift of transportation through Midas’ Project Spark initiative. Midas franchise owners donate their time and efforts to refurbish vehicles and then present them to a recipient in need at a Project Spark event.
“Our team has been pleased to partner with Napa auto parts to provide this refurbished car to such a deserving family,” notes Craig Pitman, Midas franchisee. “It means the world to help our community in this way.”
