Sunshine, suds, and strong community spirit set the stage as CARSTAR Hamilton Rymal hosted its annual Soaps It Up Car Wash in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada. With cars lining up, grills fired up, and families turning out in full force, the event raised $1,800 for the cause.
With the help of local teens, first responders, and even the Hamilton Tiger Cats’ mascot Stripes, the event brought the community together for a fun-filled day of car washing, BBQ, face painting, and door prizes. Police cruisers, fire trucks, and even a few Corvettes joined the lineup, while families enjoyed charcoal-grilled burgers, hot dogs, and ice-cold drinks.
“We’re incredibly proud of our community for showing up and supporting such a meaningful cause,” said Maxwell Willoughby, General Manager of CARSTAR Hamilton Rymal. “It’s more than a fundraiser—it’s a chance to bring people together.”
Support came from all directions: Krispy Kreme donated doughnuts, Lococo’s provided gift cards, and vendor partners like Leggat Chevrolet, Enterprise, and Erin Dodge Chrysler contributed generously. Driven Brands also donated game tickets for lucky door prize winners.
“Soaps It Up reflects the heart of our CARSTAR network,” said Collin Welsh, Senior Director, CARSTAR Canada. “Hamilton Rymal’s energy, community spirit, and commitment to Cystic Fibrosis is exactly what this event is all about.”
The event was a success not only in dollars raised but in the unity it created, one car wash at a time.
