Bridgestone Americas has announced the launch of its new touring tire—Turanza QuietTrack.

This latest addition to the company’s touring tire portfolio has been engineered for long-lasting performance. Equipped with the company’s latest technologies, the new tire has been developed to deliver confident control in wet conditions. Bridgestone provides coverage with its best-in-class 130,000-kilometre manufacturer’s treadwear limited warranty for long-lasting performance so that drivers can trust to carry them season after season.

“The Turanza QuietTrack tire is packed with the latest game-changing innovation from Bridgestone,” says Erik Seidel, President, Consumer Replacement Tire Sales, U.S. and Canada, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations. “Based on consumer insights, we know wet and wear performance are the top considerations for drivers purchasing a new set of tires. The Turanza QuietTrack tire exceeds expectations in each of these important attributes, while also providing a comfortable, quiet ride.”

Offering a 20% improvement in wet traction over the previous generation Turanza Serenity Plus tire, the new Turanza QuietTrack is set to replace the Turanza Serenity Plus offering. The findings are based on internal testing by Bridgestone on BMW 328i, tire size 215/55R17.

Bridgestone has innovatively designed the tire with four of its new technology packages:

  • QuietTrack Technology: This new noise-dampening technology exclusive to Bridgestone is a feature that is specifically tuned to prevent high-frequency noise and ensure a quieter ride.
  • ComfortCruise Technology: The company’s new ComfortCruise technology has been designed to leverage a rounded contact patch and optimized tire casing shape to decrease road vibration. This helps in providing a smoother, more comfortable driving experience.
  • HydroTrack Technology: This technology improves water evacuation and decreases the risk of hydroplaning by utilizing full-depth tread grooves and open shoulder slots.
  • EdgePerformance Technology: The Turanza QuietTrack tire is able to maintain its performance throughout its 130,000-kilometre life span with the help of a proprietary full depth tread design.

Covering more than 86 percent of vehicles on the road today, Bridgestone’s Turanza QuietTrack is currently available in 37 sizes.
