Bridgestone Americas has launched the Bandag BLSS, the latest addition to its Bandag retread portfolio.

Bridgestone has designed the Bandag BLSS retread for fleets that travel in both on-road and off-road locations. The tire features a specialized tread compound that provides resistance to cutting and chipping. Engineered for drive position use, Bridgestone has equipped the retread with a long-lasting tread life and more efficient mobility. The retread is especially built for providing higher traction for severe service applications.

“We recognize severe service fleets face the toughest driving conditions when alternating between on and off-road environments and need a longer-lasting tire engineered to meet their unique performance requirements,” explains LaTres Jarrett, Director of Marketing, Bandag, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations. “We designed the Bandag BLSS retread to deliver powerful grip and high traction, along with a reliable performance, no matter the application to help ensure fleets are getting the most out of their valuable tire assets.”

The Bandag BLSS is equipped with the following features:

  • A deep tread of 25.40 mm (32/32”) provides more volume for extra wear life.
  • Its stone rejection technology resists stone retention, making it more durable.
  • A specialized compound used in the tire decreases chipping and cutting in tough conditions.
  • The tire’s aggressive tread design is to provide powerful grip in both on-road and off-road environments.

The tire is available in the following sizes—200 mm, 210 mm, 220 mm, 230 mm, 240 mm, 250 mm and 270 mm.
