At a special ceremony prior to the opening of VIP Night at the Canadian International AutoShow on February 15, Wakefield Canada unveiled the new, updated Castrol brand logo.
According to Hasan Zobairi, Vice President, Marketing, Castrol for Wakefield Canada, the updated branding, first announced in 2023, better reflects Castrol’s position in the marketplace, especially as both the automotive industry and the lubricant sector continue to evolve, with more emphasis on hybrids and battery-electric vehicles.
Attendees were invited to have a good look at the new logo, which is also prominently featured on DJ Kennington’s #17 NASCAR Canada Series Dodge Challenger for the 2024 season, since Castrol and specifically Castrol EDGE, is a major sponsor of the DJK racing team.
Autosphere attended the event and had an opportunity to meet DJ Kennington and chat with the Wakefield Canada leadership team as well as other guests.
A market leader in automotive, heavy-duty and industrial lubricants, Wakefield Canada manufactures and distributes Castrol branded products across Canada, serving a whole range of segments including motor oils for conventional, advanced, hybrid, battery-electric and classic vehicles, as well as transmission and EV specific fluids, brake fluids and axle lubricants.
The DJ Kennington #17 Castrol EDGE Dodge Challenger will be on display in Castrol Alley, 700 Level, at the Canadian International AutoShow, which runs from February 16-25, 2024, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
