The Point S banner offers vehicle service providers a veritable springboard for growth.

There are a multitude of benefits associated with joining the Point S banner. The emergence of this successful brand in Canada is a testament to the many advantages it offers shop owners while giving these independent businesses the freedom to develop their operations as they see fit.

“We are here to help vehicle service providers reach new heights,” says Sébastien Boutet, Business Development Manager for Point S. “The Point S banner is a very strong brand image supported by a comprehensive program that allows participating shops to distinguish themselves.”

One of the key elements of the Point S formula is that it allows the business to maintain its identity. This is something that Dan Cecchini, Owner of Reach Tire & Auto in British Columbia, who has operated four Point S locations for the past two years, points out.

“Point S provides convenient access to a competitively priced supply of tires,” points out Cecchini. “All this while maintaining our own corporate identity.”

Additional services

The Point S approach is to offer consumers all vehicle maintenance and repair services under one roof. By working with their store network team members, Point S provides the necessary support for businesses that want to add services to their tire and mechanical repair offering, such as auto glass and electric vehicle maintenance.

“This is the new normal,” explains Boutet. “We are there to support these businesses as they expand in their markets. With our partners, we can assist them in acquiring new skills to meet the needs of consumers in their individual areas.”

Naturally, membership in the Point S banner program includes access to their extensive tire offering. Thanks to their tremendous purchasing power, Point S can secure lower prices on tires while offering exclusive products and promotions to its store network.

This tremendous purchasing power is also reflected in the beneficial agreements with some 50 vendor partners, ranging from replacement parts to equipment to wheels, which are available to network members. They are constantly working to add to this list of suppliers to allow shops to benefit from substantial savings for all of their purchases.

Strong brand

The success of the Point S brand since its introduction in Canada is remarkable. Supported by innovative marketing campaigns, both digitally and in traditional media, Point S has built a strong and assertive brand image.

As Dustin Kellar, Owner of Action Tire in Barrie, Ontario can attest. “With Point S, we have a solid partnership for continued growth. We’re happy to have been a trailblazer for this banner program and we are well positioned to see it flourish throughout the Greater Toronto Area.”

Continuous support

Moreover, Boutet explains that the tire and mechanical service providers who join the banner are accompanied from day one. Financial assistance is offered to facilitate the conversion and implementation of a uniform brand image for the entire network. In addition, this support includes on-site support specialists to keep them informed about new tire developments and to keep them up-to-date on the evolution of the Point S banner program.

In addition, Point S regularly organizes events to which store network members are invited, where they can obtain information about the program while at the same time rubbing shoulders with other business owners like themselves.

Modern tools

One of the main advantages of Point S is their transactional website, with its 1.2 million annual visitors, which is an excellent showcase for retailers.

Each store member has their own section, where they can list their opening hours, the services they offer, contact information and even their history.

“The site allows us to reach another customer base, one that prefers to buy tires online. As soon as they arrive on the website, customers are matched to a network member in their area via geolocation technology. When consumers purchase tires, wheels, or additional services online, the transaction and the services to be performed are linked to the selected store member, who will benefit from the proceeds,” explains Boutet. The consumer thus has the advantage of buying online while benefiting from the network store’s expertise.

“Our goal is to develop a banner across Canada that provides many advantages for retailers, while remaining independent businesses and providing customers with a compelling brand image that is recognized across the country,” concludes Boutet.
