Raybestos has announced the addition of four new air disc rotor part numbers to its speciality rotor line for a wider coverage for air disc applications.

The company also has plans to release additional part numbers later this year.

“We’re thrilled to continue expanding our air disc rotor offering to pair with our already strong air disc brake pad offering,” says Sam Rusenovich, Director of Sales—Commercial Vehicle and Customer Experience, Brake Parts. “Our air disc products are specifically designed to handle the demands of class 7 and 8 vehicles by providing better stopping power and unmatched durability. All of our air disc products meet or exceed original design and performance requirements.”

Raybestos has developed its air disc rotors to meet or even exceed OE fit, form, function and SAE metallurgy. According to the company, this discipline in design ensures that the products have better endurance under extreme temperatures and vehicle load. For resistance against corrosion, Raybestos has coated all its rotors completely with Grey Fusion 4.0 technology. In a release by the company, Raybestos states that its air disc rotors have undergone and qualified the new SAE J3080 crack test procedure for air disc brakes that was specifically created for these applications in 2018. The products were able to pass this test and even happened to exceed its stringent requirement.

Created for demanding work environments and for the benefit of fleets, Raybestos also offers a line of medium duty products. These products have been designed to deliver best performance and stopping power, especially in extreme load and temperature conditions. The product lineup offers coverage for all fleet needs, from class 1 hydraulics through class 8 air disc.
