Bosch Automotive Aftermarket has delivered a new Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic to Lee Anderson of Beloit, Wi., an Auto-Wares Customer.

Anderson, the winner of the 2018 Robert Bosch AAPEX event sweepstakes, selected and customized the 2017 Harley-Davidson model. The winner was chosen at random from thousands of Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper technicians who had visited the Bosch booth during the AAPEX show.

Representatives from Bosch and Auto-Wares presented the motorcycle to Anderson on December 8, 2018. Powered by Harley-Davidson’s new Milwaukee Eight 107 C.I. motor, the motorcycle also incorporates GPS, Bluetooth connectivity, and a touch screen infotainment system. Anderson has customized it with a slip-on exhaust and his preferred lights, mirrors and handlebars.

Bosch hosted Alliance technicians at AAPEX 2018 for training on engine management, commodities, braking components, A/C equipment and diagnostic tools. Open to all Alliance technicians, the short training sessions introduced them to latest Bosch products that could increase their efficiency and help reduce comebacks.

At the Bosch booth, service centre owners had the opportunity to enter the contest to win the Harley-Davidson or a Bosch ADS 625 professional diagnostic scan tool. They could also register for the extra Loyalty Program and enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win 1,000,000 extra points.

Darren Buehrer of Lansing, Mi, is the winner of the Bosch ADS 625 professional diagnostic scan tool. One of the first owners of the tool in North America, Buehrer received his prize on December 17, 2018. A Bosch Technical Sales Manager delivered the tool and also provided relevant training and assistance for its use.
