The Vast-Auto Distribution/OttoFran family leveraged the momentum of the #iamvast #urvast #wervast theme (launched last Fall), to rally team members gathered at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in the Outaouais region of Quebec for its 2017 annual conference.

Sold out tradeshow!

Over 80 suppliers, vendor and service partners welcomed customers and guests until late Friday evening at what was, a completely sold out trade show. The POKER RUN promotion left a number of store and shop customers feeling very lucky indeed. Over $50,000 in prizes, including the $25,000 POKER RUN, and numerous additional prizes, were distributed on Friday evening.

On Saturday morning, attendees were inspired by motivational speaker Jimmy Sévigny. His Facebook commentary best summed up the overall mood of the session: “This morning, the Vast-Auto Distribution team put their trust in me and let me open their Lac Leamy conference. They’re a stupendous group, thanks for everything!”

Over the course of the weekend, the Vast-Auto and OttoFran sales and marketing team hosted numerous workshops covering a variety of topics including new products and programs for franchise partners and the 2017-2018 action and marketing plans.

Recognition Gala Event

As tradition dictates, the Recognition Gala Event which closed the conference, recognized outstanding 2016 employee performance and contributions, as well as notable customer anniversaries and milestones.

Emcee Alain Dumas hosted the ceremony and handed out the various awards with a masterly touch. He switched into his alter ego, Jean-Guy Hood, and shared his thoughts on the environment and technology. His humour was much appreciated by those in attendance.

Vast-Auto Distribution President John Del Vasto proceeded to close the formal part of the evening with a speech that touched on the values that guide the company and team: close relationships with customers and vendor partners, as well as the importance of service.

Dancing the Night Away

DJ David Tougas then took over the festivities and kept toes tapping, with both young and old dancing very late into the evening!
