The 2019 Mazda CX-5 Signature adds a refined power option with Skyactiv-D engine.
The 2019 CX-5 Signature Skyactiv-D will be available at Mazda dealerships across Canada at the beginning of August in one trim for an MSRP of $45,950. It will be offered in five different colours: Jet Black Mica and Sonic Silver Metallic, or premium colours; Snowflake White Pearl, Soul Red Crystal Metallic and Machine Gray Metallic.

The vehicle will be a part of the premium diesel SUVs that are currently on sale and will be exclusive to the Signature trim. As an AWD with Skyactiv-D 2.2., the vehicle provides a high torque driving experience with high rpms; a sequential twin turbocharger increases low- to high-end torque (up to 5,500 rpm rev limit).
It further delivers 168 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 290 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 rpm with rated fuel economy of 8.9 L/100 km within the city, 7.9 L/100 km on the highway, and 8.5 L/100 km combined. The Skyactiv-D 2.2 surpasses the fuel economy of the Skyactiv-G 2.5 L with Cylinder Deactivation.
The 2019 CX-5 Signature projects luxury with its leather seats, Abachi wood trim, leather-wrapped steering wheel, ambient interior LED lighting, black headliner, and auto-dimming rearview frameless mirror with Homelink, alongside Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. It also boasts a windshield-projected heads-up Active Driving Display, ventilated front seats, and more.
The vehicle gets complimentary scheduled maintenance for two years or 32,000 km.
