Kia leads all other brands with 12 vehicles given Top Safety Pick and Top Safety Pick Plus ratings from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
Kia received recognition for having more Top Safety Pick (TSP) and Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+) ratings than any other brand after it was awarded the TSP to the new 2020 Kia Telluride. The vehicle further received TSP “Good” ratings in all six IIH crashworthiness tests, with an “Acceptable” rating for headlights.

Five Kia vehicles now have the TSP rating, and seven Kia vehicles have the TSP+ rating when equipped with front crash prevention and specific headlights.
While the TSP checks driver-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side; roof strength, head restraint tests, and passenger-side small overlap front test, TSP+ can be also be qualified by, like the driver-and-passenger side small overlap,
