Mercedes-Benz Canada has announced the appointment of Fang (Freda) Wang as Vice President, Network, Training and Process Development effective March 1, 2019.
Wang takes over from Hannu Ylanko, who will be retiring at the end of March 2019 following a 30-year career with the company.
Wang who is currently the Director of Marketing at China’s Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service, originally hails from Beijing but was educated at York University’s Schulich School of Business as well as at Stanford University.
During the course of her career, Wang has worked extensively in Canada, the United Arab Emirates, and China including roles focused on CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) programs and retail consulting, as well as the development of targeted dealership consulting programs.
Wang first joined the Daimler group in 2010, starting out with Mercedes-Benz (China), before being promoted to Director of After-Sales Retail Operations at BMBS in 2012.
In 2013, she was appointed to her current position, where she has been responsible for developing the Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Maybach and smart brands in the Chinese market.
