CARSTAR Quality Assured – Raydar has announced an ownership change.

Existing owner/operators Lonnie and Dorrit LaPlante have chosen to sell the Mission, B.C. based operation, with the business being transferred to new CARSTAR owner, Bill Davidson.

Lonnie LaPlante has been in the industry for over 42 years and is a founding member of the Quality Assured group. LaPlante was instrumental in bringing the Quality Assured team into the CARSTAR family in 2015.

With no immediate plans for retirement, the LaPlantes have said they are planning the next year to take the next step on their journey.

New CARSTAR Quality Assured – Raydar owner, Bill Davidson, has been in the industry since 1993, when he first entered the field as a technician. Eventually moving on to manage various facilities throughout the Fraser Valley and other roles for industry vendors, Davidson finally joined the CARSTAR family.

“The majority of the team have been at this facility for years, some even more than 20 years, including Lonnie and Dorrit’s daughter, Carrie Dunnett, who is the office manager of CARSTAR Quality Assured – Raydar,” said Davidson. “Carrying on the sterling reputation this facility has in its community is my main goal and I look forward to continued success with this outstanding group.”

Eager to earn I-CAR and OEM certifications, Davidson says he is prioritizing training and education to ensure the Mission community feels comfortable leaving their vehicles iin the hands of the experienced CARSTAR Quality Assured – Raydar team.

Davidson says he also plans to install the latest industry technology so that his team is equipped with the tools necessary to continue providing premier collision repairs for all makes of vehicles.
