Tesla Motors has announced that it has approved Spanesi equipment for use in structural repairs on its Model S and Model X vehicles.

The specific equipment approval refers to three Spanesi benches: The 106 Bench, 106 EXT Bench and the Pista Bench. Additionally, Tesla has also approved Spanesi’s Touch Electronic Measuring system as well as its Universal jig system for use on repairing these vehicles.

In reference to the approval, Timothy Morgan, COO and Managing Director of Spanesi Americas, said, “we look forward to providing state-of-the-art collision repair equipment to those facilities that are working on the highly complex vehicle structures and substrates being produced by Tesla today. Tesla’s growing vehicle-model lineup continues to push the tools and equipment industry to provide modern solutions to support the collision repair industry.”
