Pro Spot International, specializing in quality welding and repair products for the collision repair industry, hosted the Southern California Collision Career Fair from 8:30 AM to 2 PM Thursday, March 9th at Pro Spot’s Headquarters and manufacturing facility in Carlsbad.
The Career Fair, presented by the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF), hosted over 300 local students. Students had the opportunity to talk with industry professionals about their future career goals, learn about positions, pass out resumes and tour the Pro Spot manufacturing facility.
Kenny Pfitzer of Zero to 60 Designs also attended with two cars he built for SEMA, talking to students about his path, the importance of learning skills, and what an opportunity these companies are providing for them.
“Starting a career is hard,” said Ashley Olsson, Communications, Pro Spot International. “Often those trying to get into an industry are faced with the issue that every job is requesting ‘experience’ but are never given the opportunity to earn it. Our industry is providing that training and experience for students, and a career fair like this is a great way to get a head start!”
