Peter Polito, General Manager for Fix Auto Western Canada has announced the addition of Fix Auto Sherwood Park, Alberta, to the Fix Auto Canada network, effective immediately.

Owned and operated by Scott, Craig, and Merv Koughan, Fix Auto Sherwood Park has a long-standing history of serving its community’s collision repair needs. Owner and Manager Scott Koughan explained the road to operating a family-run business: “Our father, Merv has been in the automotive industry for over 40 years. He opened his first shop with his father on Prince Edward Island in 1977, and he and our mother, Theresa, have owned and operated shops coast to coast ever since. Growing up around body shops really influenced Craig and I to get into the industry.” He added that having both started at the bottom, they enjoy keeping the family business feel alive with the help and support of their parents, as well as Scott and Craig’s wives, Nicci and Ashley.

Fix Auto Sherwood Park, formerly known as Broadmoor Autobody, has built its name and reputation on offering high quality service and getting involved in the local community through sponsoring various local organizations and events. When asked what motivated them to choose Fix Auto as a partner, Scott Craig said that, “the collision repair industry is changing faster than ever before. We felt the only way to stay ahead of the curve and continue to serve our customers to the standards they have grown to expect was to join a brand. The support system Fix Auto offers really is second to none. It has become clear they always have the shop’s best interest in mind with the end goal of mutual success. Fix Auto is a global brand, but the support they offer really makes us feel like we are part of a big family.”

Beyond customer satisfaction, Fix Auto Sherwood Park is a forward-thinking shop that understands the value of innovation. The shop boasts two newer downdraft CWN paint booths, has 3D measuring capabilities, and a full aluminum station with curtains, exhaust fan, tools, and welders. Koughan also says that training is a priority, and is actively working at having the shop become I-CAR Gold Class Certified.

Peter Polito added, “this newest addition to our network reflects what our brand is all about—partnering with the right owner-operators, who embrace change, and are dedicated to their customers and their community. As Fix Auto grows rapidly in Western Canada, we are thrilled to welcome a shop that believes in the proven success of family and community. We are glad the Koughan family chose our network as a long-term partner for growth and wish their team much success in this new venture.”
