3M Canada recently announced the appointment of Penny Wise to the position of President.

Having started her career at the company’s Canadian Head Office in London, Ontario, Wise currently has over 20 years of international experience at 3M. In her new role, Wise will be responsible for ensuring that the company fulfills its commitment of serving customers. Wise will be leading 3M’s efforts in delivering a compelling, differentiated experience by fully leveraging everything that the 3M brand is offering.

Wise has taken charge of her new role from Lars Hanseid, the former President of 3M Canada. Hanseid, in turn, has been appointed to the position of Vice President of Europe the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Corporate Affairs and Governance and Managing Director of 3M North Europe Region. He will now be based in London, U.K.

Throughout her tenure in the company, Wise has held several key leadership roles, working in business, commercialization, brand and corporate marketing departments. Before being appointed as President of 3M Canada, she was serving as the Global Marketing Director of the Safety and Industrial Business Group at 3M.

As the 3M International Marketing Director and Chief Branding Officer, in 2015, Wise played a pivotal part in launching the company’s new global tagline “3M Science. Applied to Life”. She has also undertaken and led successful marketing transformation projects at 3M.
