Audi presented a fleet of 50 e-tron cars for the 49th annual World Economic Forum in Davos held January 22 to 25, 2019.

The Audi e-tron is capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h (63.1 mph) in 5.7 seconds, with a range of 400 kilometers (248.5 mi) in the WLTP driving cycle. It has two electric motors that produce up to 300 kW, and with the electric all-wheel drive the car promises optimum performance on any terrain, including in challenging weather and topography.

“We are focusing clearly and consistently on sustainable mobility solutions for the future,” said Bram Schot, Board of Management Chairman of AUDI AG. “At this year’s World Economic Forum, we can demonstrate our definition of practical electric mobility live and can let many people experience it directly.”

Audi has been researching the potential reuse of batteries from electric cars. The e-tron, which can be charged at home or on the go, demonstrates this potential by coming with three mobile charging containers with a total output of 200 kW and a capacity of 1.14 MWh, recycling the high-voltage batteries as an energy-storage application.

The Audi e-tron has already received over 20,000 reservations. The car will arrive in the showrooms in Europe this week.
