Honda Canada recently made a $100,000 donation to Jays Canada Foundation, as well as surprising three team fans with brand new 2018 Honda Civic sedans.

The donation and giveaways took place during Fan Appreciation and were designed to celebrate the long-standing relationship between Honda Canada and the Toronto Blue Jays, which goes all the way back to 1977.

“Fan Appreciation Weekend is all about connecting with and giving back to Canadian baseball fans,” said Jean Marc Leclerc, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Honda Canada Inc. “We’re happy to add three new customers to the Honda family and more importantly, help to foster the love of the game in children across Canada through the wonderful work of Jays Care Foundation.” Leclerc added that, “the Blue Jays are Canada’s baseball team and the Honda Civic is Canada’s car, so we’re very proud to be a long-time partner of the Blue Jays.”

During the 2018 season, Honda Canada presented more than $150,000 in Honda automobiles and power equipment to baseball fans, including a Honda lawnmower at each one of the 81 home games.
