The weekend kicked off on a positive note, with the announcement (Friday, July 13^th) that the agreement between Dumoulin Competition and major partner WeatherTech Canada was extended for a further three years, bringing the total duration to ten years. This announcement increased the already great motivation of Louis-Philippe Dumoulin and every member of the #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare team to continue to run in the lead pack, always ready to go for the win.

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin defended his seventh position on the grid all the way through the 35-lap race, taking advantage of some great passes on lap 8 to jump up to fifth place and defend it all the way to the finish. The Quebec driver now shares first place in the 2018 Pinty’s Driver Championship, putting Louis-Philippe Dumoulin in an excellent position for the upcoming three-race Western Tour.

“The win was within reach of my car had I started the race from the front row. The race will be broadcast on TSN on Sunday July 21^st at 2:30 p.m. and on RDS on Tuesday July 31^st at 10:30 p.m.
