Spectra Premium has announced a multi-race partnership with Toyota Racing Development (TRD) U.S.A this year.
The primary aim of the partnership is the development of heat transfer units built to high-performance motorsports vehicles specifications.
The company is to sponsor four races in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) with TRD, U.S.A. in 2019 to mark the beginning of this partnership. The automotive, light and heavy-duty truck parts manufacturer sponsored the first race at Martinsville Speedway in the No. 46 Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) Toyota Tundra with Quebec driver Raphael Lessard on March 23. The company is also scheduled to sponsor two other NGOTS races with Lessard and another one with KBM driver Todd Gilliland at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park on August 25.
“We are thrilled and honored about this partnership with Toyota Racing Development,” says Collin Francis, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, Aftermarket USA at Spectra Premium. “We are looking forward to closely collaborate with such exceptional racing engineers and champions by contributing to the temperature control of ever more competitive powertrains. We are very pleased at the opportunity of supporting Raphael’s first entry in this series as well as renewing with Todd for another race in Canada.”
“This is an important sponsorship for two of our Toyota Racing Driver Development Program participants in Raphael and Todd,” says Jack Irving, Director of Team Support Services at TRD, U.S.A. “We could not build a world-class development program without excellent partners like Spectra Premium and we’re very grateful they have dedicated their time and resources to TRD.”
