Lumileds has announced the release of its new Philips X-tremeUltinon LED Fog Lamps for the automotive market.
According to a release by the company, the new fog lamps are its latest performance lighting innovation for domestic vehicle applications.
Lumileds asserts that its new Philips X-tremeUltinon LED Fog Lamp has been designed to provide up to 200% brighter light when compared to standard, minimum legal requirements in fog headlamp test results.
The fog lamp is powered by the company’s premium product, Luxeon LED. Providing a crisp, bright white look that matches with HID and LED headlights, the fog lamp is said to deliver up to 6500K colour temperature.
Lumileds has designed its new product to be an easy plug-and-play replacement for any H8, H11, or H16 halogen fog lights that are installed on domestic vehicles. The fog lamp covers several makes and models, such as Buick (Allure to Verano), Cadillac (CTS to XLR), Chevrolet (Camaro to Trax), Chrysler (200 and 300), Dodge (Avenger to Durango), Ford (C-Max to Taurus X), GMC (Acadia and Terrain), Jeep (Compass to Renegade), and Lincoln (MKS to MKZ). The product also offers applications for the Dodge Sprinter and Ford Transit Connect.
Philips X-tremeUltinon Fog Lamps are exceptionally well designed to provide peak performance, Lumileds says in its statement. The ‘AirFlux design’ of the lamps are intended to provide constant cooling in addition to ensuring better light quality and optimum service life. Lumileds has used its patented ‘SafeBeam’ technology in the Philips X-tremeUltinon LED Fog Lamps to provide for safer driving experience. The ‘SafeBeam’ technology allows the lamp to project light exactly where it is necessary, cutting out additional glare for other drivers.
