LIQUI MOLY’s Synthoil Energy SAE 0W-40 has received a name change.

The new name is Synthoil Energy A40 SAE 0W-40, though LIQUI MOLY has said that the part numbers will remain the same (LM2049 1L, LM2050 5L).

The reason for the name change is due to the oil being reformulated and the new product is been approved by Porsche to meet the A40 specification.

Synthoil Energy A40 is a fully-synthetic, all-season motor oil for owners of gasoline and diesel vehicles. Tested safe with catalytic converters and turbochargers. Updated formulation to provide the latest oil technology required by OE manufacturers.

This oil is also recommended for the following specifications: API CF; BMW Longlife-01; Ford WSS-M2C 937-A; MB 229.3; MB 229.5; VW 502 00; VW 505 00.

LIQUI MOLY USA has also announced that for the first time, it will be attending both AAPEX and the SEMA Show in Las Vegas from October 31-November 3. It will be displaying products at AAPEX Booth #33021 and SEMA Booth #50233.
