The Women’s Knowledge and Networking Event took place at the Westin Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta, September 28.
We’re told the group was small but this made for a better networking time—it allowed the guests to talk freely about being women in the automotive industry and have some great discussions. This is important to women in the Aftermarket.
France Daviault of AIA presented “Addressing the Labour Crunch” while Shoana Prasad gave her popular and exciting address entitled “Your Personal Brand Legacy”. This is a good one and made you think about who you are!
Also on the agenda was “AIA’s Labour Marketing Tool—AutoConnect”. AIA is building AutoConnect, a website for the automotive aftermarket industry which will show: the labour shortages and surpluses; compensation data; skills level and training requirements; and much more.
This event was all about shared vision and connecting with like-minded people and it allowed those in attendance to network closely with their peers and colleagues.
