Spring—A Good Time for Changes
Ah Spring! Isn’t it great to see the grass appearing, the trees coming into bud, the robins singing and your business ‘springing’ back to more sales…
Spring usually brings forth new things: new training events, new products, winter problems to be repaired, new accessories especially for the spring/summer season… lots to look forward to.
Hiring time
It’s also time to think about hiring new technicians or apprentices. The schools will be letting out their qualified students very shortly and that much-needed new technician could be waiting in the wings just for you! This could be your chance to attain a newly trained apprentice and train him/her for your specific business, gaining a new employee to fill the gap of one that is going to retire. These young people are keen and they are looking for a career as a professional. Take one or two under your wing and help lead them to that goal!
Under hood
Since this is our Under Hood issue, you’re going to find a lot of information about various products found under the hood. You’re going to see some new products; you’re going to learn about common failure areas and how to fix them correctly; how to understand the complexity of modern top-end engine systems; and the question of do smaller engines really get better fuel economy and more! Lots to read, much to learn in this issue!
And you’ll certainly want to read the advice and information in the columns of our guest editors. They too are professionals in their fields, and you can certainly learn from their experiences and advice. They are on the cusp of modern technology and trends. You’d be wise to read what they have to say.
Don’t bother dusting off the old methods and ways of doing things. This era is a whole different ball of wax, and if you don’t change you’ll be left behind. Get into the new age of doing business. It will take you and your business into a successful future.
Get out there and look for that young technician or business person you can train for the new and exciting times to come!
