The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is the first electrified vehicle to be used in Epping Forest in the U.K.
The City of London has added three new Outlander PHEVs to their fleet, especially to patrol and maintain Epping Forest, which is a 2,400-hectare area of ancient woodland.
With a pure electric range of 45 km, plus the option to use all-electric mode with the 4WD system, the Outlander PHEV provides the Epping Forest Keepers with the option to navigate the area with minimal noise and emissions.
“These new vehicles will help our Forest Keeper team protect the Forest and assist the public in a more sustainable way,” said Graeme Doshi-Smith, Chairman of the City of London Corporation’s Epping Forest & Commons Committee. “Our ambition is to have a zero-emission fleet as soon as possible by removing, replacing or retrofitting any non-compliant vehicles.”
