The Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association are hosting a “Ride and Drive.”
The f-cell + HFC 2019 Impulse Summit will be taking place in Vancouver on May 22-23, 2019 at the Sheraton Wall Centre. At the event, the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association will be hosting a “Ride and Drive” of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) for local media, and conference and trade fair participants, who want to test-drive two of the first commercial fuel cell electric cars in Vancouver: the Toyota MIRAI and the Hyundai NEXO.
FCEVs are quiet, have quick acceleration, emit only water from the tailpipe and have a driving range similar to that of an internal combustion engine. The conference will discuss how hydrogen FCEVs contribute to a cleaner and self-sustaining future, and attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the hydrogen fuel cell product advancements and recent market activity.
The conference, trade fair, and the CHBC & CHFCA Ports Workshop will include international speakers from 13 different countries and over 50 organizations, including hydrogen and fuel cell component and product manufacturers; transit, trucking, energy, marine and vehicle companies; domestic and international government leaders and port authorities; universities and research organizations; industry associations and more.
Currently, these vehicles are available for commercial purposes only in Vancouver, where there are five hydrogen refuelling stations. During the Ride and Drive, a hydrogen fuel cell expert will answer all questions about performance, range, fuelling, costs, and more. Additionally, Toyota and Hyundai representatives will provide information about the latest innovative hydrogen FCEV technologies.
Public tickets to the trade fair, including the Ride and Drive, are $20 + GST. Visit hyfcell.com/why-visit/to reserve a spot.
Accredited media, who are encouraged to register in advance, will receive complimentary tickets for the entire two-day event.
