NAFA hosts their annual 2019 Ride & Drive.
The NAFA Western Canada Chapter hosted their 2019 Ride & Drive at the new Alberta Motor Transport Association Facility in Nisku, just south of Edmonton. The event took place on May 8, 2019, from 10 am to 3 pm and was open to both members and non-members.
Around 11 OEM’s registered for the event featuring 45 vehicles. During the day the attendees were able to test drive an array of vehicles, browse multiple vendor booths, including upfitters, heavy-duty truck manufacturers, fleet management companies, and other service providers. Attendees were also able to take a test drive in one of the two simulators that were on site and enjoy lunch from local food trucks.
“We [were] aiming for a fair-like event where fleet professionals get the opportunity to both network and test out new fleet options. In conjunction with the Ride & Drive, we [held] the NAFA Sustainability course the day before. This way our members [had] the opportunity to attend multiple events over the two days gaining an array of knowledge and contacts.,” said Amy Reny, NAFA Western Chapter Board member and Fleet & Procurement Manager, Western Canada for Terrapure Environmental.
