Fleet professionals from all over North America gather in Washington, D.C. for a closer look at Ford’s latest vehicles and technologies.
More than 800 invited guests attended the “2019MY Ford Fleet Preview And Pool Account Meeting,” which took place in Washington, D.C. last week. The three-day event attracted fleet management company representatives, some of Ford’s biggest customers, as well as select media and fleet professionals for a closer look at what Ford is bringing to market in the very near future.
The historic Warner Theatre acted as the backdrop for Ford’s Business Meeting, where a number of Ford representatives introduced a range of new vehicles, and announced exciting plans for bringing new technologies and safety features to the market for the 2019 model year.
The drive part of the event included a Mustang Challenge, the Lincoln Drive Experience, and an opportunity to drive Ford’s entire lineup of vehicles. In addition, Ford invited guests to put the pedal to the metal as they took the company’s latest police vehicles for a spin around the closed track. One of the highlights was the new hybrid sedan police cruiser.
The Smart Technology Experience track offered guests an opportunity to see Ford’s Automatic Emergency Braking technology in action. The company announced that this advanced safety feature will be standard on all Ford vehicles, and all trim levels, as of the 2019 model year.
Ford’s guests had the opportunity to visit an array of upfitters and exhibitors, as well as test drive some of the company’s heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles.
