Fleet professionals enjoy an “emotional” day behind the wheel of some of the brand’s most exciting vehicles.
The Mercedes-Benz Corporate Sales department invited a select group of fleet professionals from various parts of Canada to the company’s Training Centre in Mississauga, Ontario to enjoy a day driving a variety of performance-oriented AMG vehicles on a pre-planned tour of Southern Ontario.
Although the day began at the company’s Training Centre, it lacked the usual product presentations and sales pitches normally associated with a typical “Ride and Drive” event. Instead, guests were instructed in what might seem rather basic—how to start the engine, put the vehicle in gear, set the correct driving mode (comfort, sport, etc.)—until you realize that the vehicles that wear the AMG badge are sophisticated computers on wheels, designed to thrill the senses, and delight the driver. The instruction was well received by all.
The goal of the “Mercedes-AMG Emotion Tour,” explained Jo-Anne Lamontagne, National Corporate Sales Manager at Mercedes-Benz Canada, was to allow the company’s guests to experience the thrill of piloting these dynamic performance machines. “It’s just a day to have fun and to enjoy our AMG vehicles,” she said.
Indeed, with drivers taking turns behind the wheel of the C63, E63, S63, and many other AMG creations, the day was all about fun in the sun, and the exhilaration of the open road.
