Nissan North America announced the appointment of a new Senior Manager.
Parul Bajaj is the new Senior Manager for Philanthropy at Nissan North America (NNA) and will be in charge of corporate giving and philanthropic strategy for the U.S. She is also the new Executive Director at Nissan Foundation, where she will manage the educational programs that promote diversity.
Bajaj will be replacing Vicki Smith, who will be retiring from the company at the end of July, after having worked there for over 30 years.
“Parul’s background in corporate communications, combined with her passion for volunteerism, makes her uniquely suited for this role. By fostering deeper relationships with nonprofit organizations in our local communities, she will further refine Nissan’s philanthropic strategy,” said Travis Parman, Vice President, Corporate Communications, Nissan North America.
Bajaj has extensive experience in corporate and manufacturing communications from her previous positions at Nissan Corporate Communications, Bridgestone, FedEx, and most recently, at Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, based in Paris.
“We’re grateful to Vicki for her support of Nissan’s corporate giving over the last several years, and wish her the very best as she retires,” said Scott Becker, Senior Vice President, Administration, Nissan North America, Inc., and President, Nissan Foundation. “We are excited to welcome Parul to the Nissan Foundation team and know that she will leverage her breadth of experience to guide our philanthropic efforts.”
She has a bachelor’s degree in international business and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi.
