A week in beautiful Jamaica refreshed and refocused auto industry professionals to face the challenges ahead.
What better place to mix business with pleasure than Jamaica? Montego Bay served as the setting for the 2018 Annual TADA President’s Members/Vendors Conference, with Canadian dealers and vendors getting together for a week of “All Right!”
As always, the Conference was packed with workshops, keynote presentations and networking opportunities, with in-depth sessions hosted by some of the best-known industry experts today.
“The only way to sum up the event is ‘Wow!’” said Rousseau Automobile Communications President, Jean-Luc Rousseau. “The insight and the experience the speakers shared with the audience was truly impressive. And a week in Jamaica gave everyone the chance to speak with these experts one-on-one, which is something you never have the time to do when you’re back at home and attending to the day-to-day demands of running a business.”
Not to be missed
Perhaps that’s the best reason to attend the annual TADA event. Not only is it a good way to wind down and warm up after a long winter, but it also allows dealers the time and opportunity to look at the industry from a fresh perspective and to update their knowledge about a broad range of timely topics.
This year’s program included presentations by Chuck Seguin, Peter MacDonald, John White, and Huw Williams—all from the CADA. A number of Canada’s most accomplished soccer stars—Karina LeBlanc and Rhian Wilkinson—also joined the party to speak about their experiences. In addition, Brent Wees (The NextUp) took dealers through a series of thought-provoking questions, designed to help dealers refocus their efforts in this time of digital confusion.
Fun in the sun
Naturally, organizers made sure to leave plenty of free time for the beach, golf, sight-seeing, great food, fabulous entertainment, and other fun-in-the-sun activities.
If you feel like you missed out, rest assured, you did! The next Conference has been scheduled for Apr 30 – May 5, 2019, and will be taking place at the Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa in the Dominican Republic. Since the annual Conference is always sold out, you’ll have to act fast to book your spot, once available. Hope to see you there!
