The Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance (the Alliance) is holding its annual Summer Shareholder Meeting in New Orleans.

The meeting kicked off on June 2 at the Sheraton New Orleans and will officially conclude today, June 5.

Over 140 shareholder representatives and around 250 channel partners came together with the Alliance’s team from its headquarters on Sunday. Company updates, closed-door meetings and workshops are part of the four-day event’s agenda.

“We’re delighted to be gathering in New Orleans to update our growth plans, share best practices, and chart our course ahead,” said Corey Bartlett, Chairman of the Alliance Board of Directors.

The Alliance began its meetings with an open Operations Committee meeting early on Sunday morning. Four outside speakers—JJ Phelan, president of TriFactor Distribution Solutions; Mark Alyn, president of Scan Texas; Steve Wilson, senior consulting engineer at Siggins; and Jeff Basch, warehouse design consultant with Siggins—were present at the meet to talk about warehouse equipment technology, best options for scanners, and more.

Additionally, the Alliance’s Information Technology, National Account, Product, and Sales & Marketing Committees held closed door sessions. The group’s board of directors held a private meeting on the afternoon of June 2 while its Sales & Marketing and Product Committees had a joint session. Open sessions were hosted by the IT, Product, and Sales & Marketing Committees after this.

“I thought Sunday’s collaboration between product and marketing was fantastic, and it opened up the doors for greater things to be implemented,” said Pat Winters, Chairman of the Sales & Marketing Committee. “Moving forward, we are looking forward to great interaction with our channel partners and learning what’s new with them.”

At an all-day general session on June 3, over a dozen staff members and shareholders presented company updates. Shareholders had the opportunity to attend workshops on the morning of Tuesday, June 4 while channel partners received a company update. It was not all work at the meeting as Tuesday afternoon brought both groups together to mingle at a Mardi Gras-themed mixer.
