Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA) has announced its next CIECAst webinar, titled “It’s 2020: Where Are Claims & the Collision Repair Market Heading?”

Sean Carey, President of SCG Management Consultants, will be featured on the webinar, which is scheduled to be held on January 21, 2020, from 11 am to 12 pm CST.

As stated by the association, Carey’s discussion during the hour-long live broadcast will focus on the direction in which the claims and the collision repair market are headed over the course of the next year and beyond. He will also look beyond the horizon to provide a long-term view of the market. Besides talking about what to expect, Carey will also share his insights on how best to prepare on the basis of the industry segment—independent shop, MSO, insurer, OEM or supply chain provider.

Carey is an automotive industry veteran with over 30 years of experience. A qualified mechanical engineer, he worked at a large parts distribution company in the U.K. Later, he managed the certified collision repair program when he was working at Nissan’s London headquarters. He moved to the U.S. in 1995 and established Carter & Carter International. Carey joined Fix Auto and where he went on to create the spin-off of CynCast—an automotive claims and collision repair IT company.

Carey formed SCG Management Consulting in 2009 and has since been offering his constancy services to all sectors of the automotive claims industry. He has been regularly speaking in recent years on the subject of telematics and its potential impact on the claims and collision market.

Registration for the January 21 CIECAst can be done through the CIECA website. After the conclusion of the CIECAst webinar, attendees will be given the opportunity to participate in a short quiz to earn credit toward a professional designation from the Automotive Management Institute (AMi).
