Nexen Tire recently announced that it is now an original equipment supplier for the new Volkswagen Passat in the North American market.

The tire manufacturing will be providing its N’FERA AU7 tire in sizes 215/60R16 95T and 215/55R17 94H for the new vehicle model.

Nexen Tire explains in a release that it has created the N’FERA AU7 as an all-season, premium ultra-high performance (UHP) as an option for high-end sedans. The tire is equipped to deliver the required braking performance on wet surfaces and also features anti-wear capabilities. The company notes that the tire is designed for reliable performance in different weather and road conditions throughout North America. Additionally, it also conforms to the wet grip and braking standards of the U.S. Improved design standards implemented in creating the tire allows for lower noise and vibration, resulting in better driving experience.

The N’FERA AU7 has received recognitions and honours for its design and performance, including the If Design Awards and the Red Dot Award from Germany and the IDEA Design Award from the U.S.

Nexen Tire informs that it was able to achieve four major global R&D and production milestones—renovating and expanding its U.S. and European R&D centres; opening its central research institute ‘THE NEXEN univerCITY’; and the opening its Europe Plant. The company plans to leverage these resources to expand its production capacity further.
