With its recent acquisition of Magnum+, Martin Industries is now offering a wheel balancing solution, which is nothing short of revolutionary.

The solution is disarmingly simple: coated tempered glass microbeads are inserted into the tire before mounting them on the rims. That’s it, no need to install the wheel and tire assembly on the wheel balancer. The centrifugal force of the rotating wheel will distribute the beads exactly where they are needed whenever the vehicle is in motion. In addition, this type of balancing is dynamic. The beads will automatically reposition themselves to keep the wheel perfectly balanced whenever mud, snow, or ice accumulate on the wheels and tires.

Tire retailers will no longer require wheel balancers to perform this operation. As the size and weight of wheel and tire assemblies continue to grow, this solution reduces the number of times technicians are required to manipulate them. What’s more, the microbeads will remain inside the tire for the duration of its lifecycle.”

Tire and mechanical service providers will be able to perform this operation at a fraction of the cost. No more wheel weights, and significant time savings as well. The microbeads don’t interfere with TPMS sensors. Consumers will also benefit, as this solution eliminates the need to install unsightly wheel weights.
