The Ecsta PA51 has been recognized with a “Good Design Award.”

Kumho Tire has won the 2019 Good Design Award for two of its global patterns, including the PA51, an all-season tire designed exclusively for North America.

Hosted by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization, the Good Design Award is the most prestigious international design competition in Japan. Winners are judged on design, usability, and innovative features. 

The Ecsta PA51 features a sidewall that resembles a racing flag for a more dynamic appearance. Kumho says the asymmetrical tread pattern enhances water evacuation in four different directions for more efficient water removal and greater fuel economy, while the different groove depths reduce noise and improve grip.
