MAXAM has announced the introduction of its LogXtra forestry line with its new tire MS931 LogXtra, expanding the range of specialty tire programs it offers.

As explained by the company in a release, it has created the new tire with the intention to offer the best possible solution for adverse forestry applications. MAXAM is offering its MS931 Logxtra tire in five LS2 sizes with optional ply ratings.

Having compared the tire against industry benchmarks constantly during its development and performance, MAXAM finds that its new tire has shown improvements in efficiency, durability and traction. The tire features a heavy duty shoulder and sidewall and sports a steel belt stabilized construction that allow it to resist cuts, cracks, impacts and punctures and enable the tire to function in adverse environments.

For better tire resilience within the working environment, MAXAM’s engineering group has created a high-performance rubber compound solely for the LogXtra tread. MAXAM explains that it puts the tire through an enhanced beading process to eliminate the possibility of bead winding defects and provide protection against mounting damage. According to the company, it has developed and implemented the new winding process during the manufacturing process.

MAXAM also states that the new tire’s tread pattern is deeper and wider than industry standards and has aggressive self-cleaning capabilities, enabling it to deliver “excellent traction and floatation”.
