Groupe Touchette, a Canadian owned tire distributor, has announced the opening of its brand-new distribution centre in Cambridge, Ontario.

According to the company, the new facility is equipped to serve customers in over 15 cities in its surrounding area, such as London, Kitchener, Waterloo and Guelph, among other places.

With a capacity of about 75,000 tires, Groupe Touchette’s new warehouse is spread out over a 50,000 sq ft area. The company states that this move will ensure that cities close to the centre will be able to benefit from its delivery service and a wide tire and brand inventory.

“A brand-new state-of-the-art warehouse! This distribution centre will enable us to cover a bigger territory, provide better service, better access to products and a faster delivery capacity. Furthermore, it creates seven permanent positions” says Larry Scheweertman, Warehouse Manager for the Cambridge distribution centre.

The company explains in a release that opening the new distribution centre of this size is aligned with Groupe Touchette’s development plans to expand its presence in Ontario. Additionally, it also enables the company to continue with its goal of gaining a firm foothold across Canada and sustain its growth by improving services.
