Pirelli has announced the launch of its new Scorpion Verde All Season Plus II.

The new addition expands the range of its all-season tires that are designed specifically for SUVs and Crossovers for the North American market.

Pirelli’s new Scorpion Verde All Season Plus II is an enhanced eco-friendly CUV/SUV Touring All-Season tire created for owners of crossovers, sport utility vehicles and pick-up trucks.

According to the company, the new tire, which belongs to its Plus line of products, has been created to meet the needs of the North American market. The tire not only contains a new tread compound but also features an optimized footprint for better wet and dry handling and wet braking. The tire has been designed to do so without compromising on the mileage, comfort, noise and winter performance of the previous generation.

The new Scorpion Verde All Season Plus II sports the following features:

• Its new compound helps the tire deliver better overall performance in wet conditions, besides dry handling.
• The tire’s optimized footprint contains a larger, rebalanced contact patch which allows for enhanced wet braking and improved handling in adverse conditions.
• Developed specifically for the North American market, the tire has been created to provide high mileage by taking into account the drivers, vehicles and highway characteristics of the area.
• Pirelli has designed the tire for all season performance that also provides low noise and excellent handling, according to the company.

Pirelli offers a 65,000-mile limited tread wear warranty coverage for the tire. Currently available in 32 sizes, Pirelli will provide the full 40 size range by September this year.
