Huayi Tire Canada (HTC), distributor and marketer for Double Coin tires and its associate brands of TBR and OTR tires, has announced its new initiative to support the South Asian Canadian Trucking Community.
The company will now provide Double Coin databooks as well as a website in the Punjabi language.
“We recognize that more than half of all truckers in Vancouver and Toronto were born in South Asia and a vast majority speak Punjabi,” says Tim Phillips, VP of Marketing and Operations for Double Coin. “This is the reason why we wanted to be the first tire manufacturer to provide databooks and a website in the Punjabi language.”
Amping up its efforts in this direction, HTC has entered into partnerships with trade publications in trucking that offer support to the community and provide relevant trucking news in both English and Punjabi. Additionally, HTC has plans to partner with the South Asian Trucking Association of Canada (SATAC), the North American Punjabi Truck Association (NAPTA) as well as events that support South Asian Canadian drivers and fleet owners.
