Michelin recently announced that it has been ranked eighth on Forbes magazine’s list of “World’s Most Reputable Companies” in 2019.
The annual ranking is based on an independent survey conducted in January and February this year of over 230,000 individuals in 15 countries. The magazine took into consideration only those companies that boast of revenue in excess of $50 billion, have a presence in the countries surveyed and at least 40 percent of the general population recognizes the brand.
In a release by the company, Michelin says that it has been continuously innovating to improve the mobility of people and goods since 1889. By offering high-quality products, agile production capabilities and a global footprint with broad market access, the company intends to pave a better future for its employees, customers and communities.

Michelin brings together thought leaders in sustainable mobility every year at a global sustainability summit Movin’On that provides a forum for advancing ideas, solutions and action. Four thousand leaders from academia, business, municipalities and startups were present at Movin’On collaboration sessions that were held in Montreal in 2018.
