With the release of it’s latest technology, Quick Check Drive, Hunter Engineering is taking its inspection platform to a whole new level with autonomous diagnostic reports utilizing their Flightboard software technology that immediately engages customer interaction to the health of their vehicle.
The introduction of the Hunter Engineering Quick Check Drive platform marks a new era in advanced tire and wheel alignment diagnostics. Inspections are performed with industry-leading precision measuring technology, specific to vehicle brand and model year, AND which requires no human intervention whatsoever.
Simply by driving into the Service Drive Thru, vehicle measurements are instantly digitalized and analyzed. Laser technology is used to measure wheel alignment in tandem with Hunter Quick Tread Edge technology, which measures tire treadwear. Optical cameras also capture 30+ images of the vehicle, in a 360-degree view, which is used to document the exterior body of the vehicle and identify additional service issues for the customer. This information is quickly analyzed within seconds against the captured vehicle VIN, and presented visually within the Flightboard application for immediate customer interaction.
Universal inspections
“During scheduled maintenance visits, the condition of the tires and alignment are inspected less than 40% of the time,” explains Hunter Director of Canadian Operations, John Peron. “Our automated Quick Check Drive inspects each and every vehicle, without human intervention. The additional revenue stream generated for shops with this platform is huge, as on average, 60% of vehicles on Canadian roads require wheel alignment services.”
Worth a thousand words
With the addition of the Flightboard module and a large digital screen, Hunter adds a high level of transparency between tire retailers, repair shops and dealership service departments and their customers who will have instant access to easy-to-read, real-time information as to the condition of both wheel alignment and tires.
In addition, by matching license plate numbers with vehicle VINs, it has the ability to identify Advanced Driver Assist System reset requirements, and any outstanding vehicle manufacturer safety recalls will also immediately be displayed on Flightboard for the benefit of the consumers.
