First TPMS solution for 90-degree valve holes.
At this year’s AAPEX show in Las Vegas, Schrader introduced their new EZ-Sensor 90-Degree. “Our 90-degree stem has the same electronics as you’d find in the EZ-sensor,” Yanick Leduc, Technical Trainer, Schrader Performance Sensors told TireNews, “which means it’s compatible with 96 percent of the vehicles on the market today. It’s programmable and reprogrammable, through the sidewall.”
Schrader had a soft launch of the 90-degree solution last year, but the company is actually bringing it to market at the end of this year.
Another new product is Schrader’s retrofit kit, designed for vehicles that didn’t come to market with TPMS. “It’s solar-powered and wireless,” said Jacki Lutz, Head of Marketing and Communications, Global Aftermarket, Schrader. “It shows temperature and pressure, and it has four of our most popular OE sensors.”
Schrader also announced the launch of Schrader Academy, a TPMS e-training site. Technicians can test their TPMS knowledge and get a certification at the end.
