Pirelli is closing its tire factory in Venezuela, and all activities held in the country.

Pirelli says the operation follows the de-consolidation of the Venezuelan subsidiary which began back in 2015.

The factory was sold to a consortium of South American entrepreneurs and the company Sommers International. Pirelli said this sale has no financial effects on the group.
