Cooper Tire & Rubber Company is expanding its Starfire lineup with the addition of the all-season Starfire Solarus AS, engineered for passenger cars and crossovers.

The Starfire Solarus AS replaces the Starfire SF340 and Starfire RS-C 2.0. According to Cooper, this new product benefits from an enhanced tread compound and tread profile for superior all-season traction.

The Solarus AS is engineered to provide a smooth ride and excellent handling. It features deep lateral shoulder grooves to ensure superior traction throughout the lifecycle of the tire.

This new tire reduces overlap in speed ratings within the Starfire lineup, while offering more fitments than its predecessors. “The SF340 and RS-C 2.0 covered 65 percent of the market, while the new Starfire Solarus AS is available in fitments covering 81 percent of the passenger touring market,” explains Cooper Tire Director of Product Management, Scott Jamieson.

This tire also features an 80,000-kilometre warranty, and will be offered in 52 popular fitments over the coming year.
